Why Your Child Gets Distracted Easily and What You Can Do!!!

In today’s fast-moving world, children are surrounded by distractions—mobile phones, television, social media, video games, and loud environments. Even simple things like hunger, lack of sleep, or stress can make it difficult for a child to focus. But distraction doesn’t always mean laziness. In most cases, it simply means the child’s brain needs better development and structured focus training.

Children who get distracted easily usually face challenges like forgetting what they study, taking too long to finish homework, difficulty sitting in one place, or losing interest quickly. These are signs that their concentration of muscle is still weak—but the good news is that it can be strengthened with the right activities.

Parents can start with simple steps:

✔ Create a clean, distraction-free study space

✔ Set a fixed daily routine

✔ Use short study periods (20 minutes study + 5 minutes break)

✔ Reduce screen exposure before learning

✔ Encourage physical activities to release extra energy

Fun brain-based exercises—like memory cards, puzzles, abacus training, eye-tracking, and logical games—help activating both sides of the brain. These activities improve memory, attention span, and problem-solving skills.

At Brain Development Study Centre (BDSC), we use scientific methods to help kids boost focus, confidence, and overall academic performance through enjoyable brain exercises. With consistent practice and the right guidance, every child can learn to concentrate better and enjoy studying more.

Remember, focus is not a talent, it’s a skill that can be trained.
